are you saying that you got a new remote that you want to program to work with your oem remote entry system?
heres instructions that work for my car when i bought an aftermarket remote. Keep in mind you must do the same thing with all remotes, even the ones that currently work because activating this process changes the codes, so you have to set all remotes.

i do not have my remote with me anymore. although i still have the toyota remote entry and security system i have a secondary after market system that i use now, therefore i couldnt tell you the model # you need.

if you go online and search for either the oem remote or aftermarket ones like from keylessride.com, they will be able to help you out.

I tried to do it with those instructions and I couldnt get it to work. I am going to try again. I wonder if it has an aftermarket one put on by toyota with a different set of instructions. Th number 2 slot is empty plastic on the mirror plug in. Maybe the control assembly is buired undr the front seat or someting. thanks for your help.

Its not a after market deal its toyota. I just dont have any metal prongs in that number 2 slot on that mirror switch. I tried the jmping wire nothing happened. I looked all under the seat the only wire thats there is the seat sensor fr the seat belt. Is tnere not a standard place they put the box? Its got the toyota stickers on the windows for the factory alarm and also the security lght (just like my 99 tacoma). Signed going crazy near Akron ohio. I just want to get the alarm set up. I have the correct alarm keychain and Im ready to go!!!! thanks
