Default Cruise Control

I wonder if anyone could help? I have a 03 camry and sometimes when I turn the cruise control on, nothing works. I see the light on in the instrument panel but nothing happens. This happens when I turn the ignition on and start driving. If I turn the ignition off for some time, then start the car later the cruise control works. I cannot say this happens 100% of the time. The cruise just started acting up. The cruise control fails to work only about 5% of the time when I start the car up. I tried turning off the cruise while the car is running but this doesn't help. The whole thing just goes dead.

Always make sure you are above 60 Km/h when you put cruise control on, Also make sure you were steady speed for 5 secs before cruise control is turned on.
