I bought a new remote. Went through 'programming'. The car 'acknowledges both 'add' and 'rewrite' mode. Simultaneously press 'lock' and 'unlock', then 'lock' ... the locks cycle. Open the door, close the door, press 'lock' .... Nothing happens. It seems that the receiver is sensing the remote transmitter, so I'm stumped as to where to spend the next dollar ... does anyone recognize this set of symptoms ?

UPDATE: I ran 'Prohibition' mode, which should have erased the record of all fobs, then, I ran 'Confirmation' mode, which should tell me how many fobs are recorded in memory. It appears that Prohibition mode is not erasing the record.

Any thoughts ????
