Hi,

I just bought a 99 Camry CE with a remote lock/unlock.... the car does not respond when I click the buttons on the remote, even though the remote blinks red when I click it. It looks like this http://www.autotechs.com/items/item144.htm

Where do I start to get it to work? Seller does not know how to work it either.

that is an aftermarket alarm...recommend going to a accessory shop or stereo shop to have that system checked out..

 

thank a lot. i took it to a security shop and they checked it out. it was a broken fuse. but now i have a new problem:

When I sit in the car with the door open the unlock and lock feature works, but when the door is shut the keyless entry system will lock the doors but not open them. it worked fine this yesterday and this morning. but this afternoon it just started to act funny as described before.
