I know this is the case on some cars, not all, not sure which ones.. If the car is already started, the alternator should then be supplying the power to the vehicle, even if the battery is disconnected. I was told thats on older vehicles, not new ones, but my 94 isnt exactly state of the art anymore [>:]

So was it normal that it shut down when the battery came loose? Or would that be a sign of a bad alt? Either way it doesnt bother me, cuz I found a refurbed one that puts out 160 amps, a bit more than stock.

And yes, if ppl are wondering, the car does look better than the old pic here, I'm still workin on a new sig.
