Efi relay getting very hot 1983 2se

Default Efi relay getting very hot 1983 2se

had replace fuel pump berore seems now that when it runs it will be okay for say 15 mins then if i wiggle the efi relay it will shut down also the relay is getting ext warm anyone else had this problem.

Might ask at the Toyotanation website in the appropriate forum section.

How warm is warm, can you hold your finger on it with hurting?

The pump is fused and would blow if pulling too much current.

The EFI relay supplies power to the circuit opening relay that supplies power to the pump. If the EFI relay has a bad connection at its socket (perhaps corrosion), wiggling my interrupt power to the other relay and pump.

Check the EFI relay socket terminals for damage or corrosion.

A poor electrical connection can also cause the relay to run hotter.

thanks i will check that out otherwise car running okay but def want to solve the shutdown problem.
