Default *'01 CE Serpentine/Timing Belt question*

hello, i own an '01 camryCE @ about 75k and was advised upon an oil change to get a new timing/serpentine belt very soon. i guess i have a few questions....for starters, does anyone know the estimated cost for this repair? I was quoted alomost 800.00 b/c of the time involved in the labor....also, are these belts seperate from one another, yet need to be replaced simultaneously????....also, is it IMPERATIVE that i get this done as soon as possible...i mean, i know it is very bad, if not fatal for the engine if the belt goes, but @ 75k, should i consider getting this done VERY soon??? any input would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks!

The serpentine belt is only one belt and if it goes it won't hurt your engine as long a you don't keep driving and overheat the engine. You better get another quote - that sounds very high. also, make sure it needs replacing. I have 140K on mine and it's fine. My last car was an accord and it is still on the original belt at 550K! You definitely should check this out further.
