02 Camry block assembly

Question 02 Camry block assembly

Hi Guys - first time user here. Can anyone tell me if a 2007 block assembly , 2.4 liter , will fit a 2002 Camry ? tks

Not 100% sure but if just the basic block with crank, pistons, etc but no head then assume yes. Rebuilt blocks are listed as an 02-08 group.

If the head is on the engine then the years are broken down further. The engine will still fit but there may be changes that for some reason don't allow the engines years to be group together as one.

Might also ask at Toyotanation website.

Do an internet search of short block vendors then email.

Thanks so much for the info. I have a spun connecting rod bearing and can pick up this block assm. cheaper than I can get the crank reground.You've been a great help.
