Default 1/2 down gas

Upon installing a pair of blue/carbon fiber pedal covers, I noticed the gas pedal was about 1/2 way depressed. My first thought was the throttlebody must be stuck. Carb cleaner, I'll be all set. The tb was fine. I found after later inspection that the cable leading thru the firewall to the gas pedal had more slack than usual. Im wondering if part of the pulley that the cable connects to may have split. Thus less tension. Could someone please take a picture of this pulley (under the cover next to the battery on the 2.2L) so I could compare, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance for the help.
