Default 2002 Engine Swap

I have a 2002 camry with a blown engine. It will be cheaper for me to swap out the engine than to fix it. I have access to a number of options. The cheapest may be a wrecked 2008 Scion TC. The engine is untouched from the rear end collision.

The camry is a 2002 LE 2.4L. I know the scion also has the toyota 2.4L. To my eye, they are the same exact engines. Will the scion engine easily replace the engine in my camry? Or are there other things that I may be overlooking that could cause some headaches? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Might ask this question at Toyotanation, Camry section. The site has a much larger audience.

Would assume it would work but might need to swap a few parts. Some things may have changed between 2002 and 2007.

It worked out very well for anyone interested. Just had to swap the timing cover on the new engine with the one from the blown. It bolted right in, as did the intake and exhaust manifolds from the old engine. Same transmisision bolt pattern too. I was surprised that nothing had really changed over the years.
