Default 3L & 3.3L differences

What's the difference between the 3.3 liter & 3.0 liter engines? IS IT THE CAM, CAM TIMING, BORE & STROKE? I'm thinking of buying 2005 camry; research tells me there is 2 different size V6 motors for that year. Dont want to get stuck with a lemon. Any info would be appreciated. 1stackmack.

The 3.3L might be called a larger version of the 3.0L. The 3.3L has a larger bore, same stroke, different cam profiles, slightly higher compression, higher HP, more torque at a much lower engine RPM, engines are about the same weight.

The 3.3L has been used in many Toyota products but only offered in Camry for a few years.

If your looking for max HP and torque then go with the 3.3L.
