Question 89 engine swap problems HELP!

i have a 1989 toyota camry fwd that had 240 thousand miles on it and developed a rod knock. so we got a replacement motor from a u-pull-it. the replacement motor was off of a manual transmission car, and mine is an automatic. we swapped out the motors. took the wiring harness off of the old one and put it on the replacement. now, we start the car and it revs to 2100 rpms and loses power, then revs, then loses power. it will run like that. any idea on what could possibly be hooked up wrong to cause this problem?? also, hitting the gas doesnt affect it at all (no change in rpm, no change in sound) but the throttle body is off of the previous working motor.
