Ok so here is the deal my wife has the 92 camry LE 4 cylinder and the motor grenaded after 220k I am currently trying to search for the best alternative to get it running again and have been digin through junkyard and lookin at motors and trying to see what else is out there....
what i am wondering is is there another 4 cylinder motor that will bolt up t her trans that will work??
or is it only the efi2200.... someone who knows more about this than i do please let me know....I really need to get this thing goin for her asap

 

Nope. No other 4cyl. motor will bolt right onto it. The 5SFE was the workhorse for toyota in the 90's.. they shoved it into the Celica/Camry/Rav4/MR2 And Solara.
