93 Camry V6 to 4 cylinder engine swap
I live in Ohio and I have a 93 Toyota Camry LE that was recently in a wreak. The engine is fine but the car is totalled. I have an offer for a 93 Toyota Camry XLE V6. whose engine is blown. I was wondering will a four cylinder bolt up to the V6?
The V6 was an option thus it will bolt in.
The V6 has a different transmission, use the 4 cylinder trans. You will need to change the wiring and engine computer.
The V6 may have stiffer suspension springs to compensate for the heavier engine. The front brakes may be larger and it may have rear disk brakes. Check the radiator fan system as both hydraulic powered and electric fans were used.
If going this route make sure your LE is available as a donor car until the task is complete to use for parts.
