Camry 2001 not moving

Please what can be the cause of my car switching off whenever I apply acceleration? This doesn't if I don't accelerate and the car is on drive. I have changed fuel pump and nothing changed.

Need more info.

What happens when the car is accelerated? Does the engine turn off? Does the car not move?

What engine type V-6 or 4-cylinder?
