Will not restart until engine is cold?
Look for small plastic box in the engine compartment perhaps mounted to the passengers upper side strut mount. If found when engine hot and will not start connect B+ and FP terminals with electrical wire and determine if this makes a difference.

The issue with your 1997 Camry, struggling to start when the engine is hot, may be linked to a faulty engine coolant temperature sensor (ECT sensor). When the sensor malfunctions, it can provide inaccurate temperature readings, causing difficulty in hot starts. Check and replace the ECT sensor if necessary. Additionally, inspect the fuel system for potential issues like vapor lock or a failing fuel pump. Ensure proper ventilation in the fuel system and consider checking the ignition system components. Regular maintenance, including cleaning the throttle body and ensuring a well-functioning cooling system, can contribute to smoother hot starts.
