Default Does anyone know about 2006-2009 Engine Cooling Problems?

Consumer reports shows that the 2006-2009 Camry models have 'serioius' problems with "Engine Cooling". Does anyone know what this is about?

Thanks,
Chris

What engine?

Is this over heating or a head bolt problem?

I know the 4 cylinder 2AZ-FE engine will need a water pump at about the 100k mark but other than that, I don't know.

Mine -- a 2007 XLE-- has been well-maintained and regularly checked -- only made it to 60K before the water pump began leaking. Rather than wait -- I just had it replaced.

Well the problem with those models is a coolant leak issue. In 2014, Honda started offering a new engine block or new engine, free, to vehicle owners of Honda Civic 2006 to 2008 and to early 2009 Civic owners.
