Engine Swap for 93 Camry
My daughter wrecked her cream puff camry. The engine appears to be fine so we are trying to find another car to put her great motor into.
How do I know what other Camrys her otor will fit into? Her car is a 93 Camry. I know the parts between the 92-94 will fit. I have a guy who has a 95 Camry and he says it would work. I just need to know if this will be compatible.
I called my friend who is doing the exchange, he told me to come on here and ask if anyone knows a website that has the exchange info.
Thanks for your time!

V6 or 4 cylinder, auto or stick, California emissions or Federal.
Your years suggest seem right. If a 4 cylinder the 1995 car should work. Somewhere in 1995 the V6 car became ODBII complient which may require sensor changes on the engine. The 4 cylinder was not complient until 1996.
The differance between California and Federal is more O2 sensors, distributor and a few other parts.
The cars computer is specific to the engine, emissions, trans type (stick or auto) and a few other issues.
If doing the swap, keep the wrecked car until the job is done. You many need to pull a few parts off and swap.
