Default Fuel delivery problems?

I have a 96 Camry 4cyl I believe, and the only way it starts is by pushing the gas while its cranking and then revving it to keep it running, it will idle but only for about 5 min and then it dies. Could this be my fuel pump going bad? Clogged fuel filter? Or something completely different?

Default

How is the engine power when driving, if normal the filter and fuel pump should be OK?

Does engine start/run any better when hot or cold?

Check for vacuum hose leaks to engine air intake system.

Read up on cleaning the IAC valve on a 5SFE (4 cylinder engine). The IAC valve controls idle RPM.

The computer also uses a coolant temp sensor (ECT sensor) to tell if coolant is hot or cold and regulate fuel and idle RPM. Check sensor ohm reading, should be 0.2 –0.4 Kohm at 176°F.
