Hi Guys,

I recently got a 2011 used Camry. One thing has been bothering me is the acceleration sound. When I accelerate it sounds like a diesel car. The engine is silent on idle and even on cruising speed the engine is fine. It is just when I accelerate it makes this groaning noise.

Any thoughts on this?

 

Might check posts or ask at the Toyotanation website in the appropriate Camry year section. Could be normal.

 

Have you checked for vacuum leak?
