Default Head Bolts

Hi all, my 2005 2.4 blew a head gasket when it overheated. Did Toyota ever fix the head bolt issue, and if so, what year? Has anyone ever taken a head off with no threads stripping? Just wonder what I'm about to get into.
Thanks

The issue is not caused by removing the head bolts. Its caused by issues with the head bolt threads in the block. The result being some bolt threads fail over time resulting in a failed head gasket,

See link below for Toyota fix. The internet and this site has LOTS of threads on the head bolt thread issue including methods and products used for repair.

Thank you for the quick reply. If the threads come out I know what to do. If they don't I'll just hope when I torque the head down they don't pull out.
