I have 2000 Toyota Camry LE. To get an appointment to the dealership for an oil change is hard now a days as it will take a while. I decided to do it by myself. Can you please let me know what is the recommended next oil change using a synthetic oil? Not sure if after 5,000 or 8,000? Thanks

 

What type of driving do you do and over what period of time?

Synthetic can go 8000 miles. Use a long life oil filter designed for long life oil.

Change the oil at least once a year.

 

I changed my 1995 Camry LE V6 to synthetic and will change it every 7000-8000 miles. My newer RAV4 is 10000 miles per Toyota.
