possible camry rally car?

Default possible camry rally car?

Hello, i am new to the camry forums so please bare with



im looking to do a little bit of rally cross with my camry, its a 95 4cyl 5 speed standard, and would love to get into the sport. what would you recommend (other than buying a subaru or a mitsu) to help my camry rally better?

I would by a car that is made to rally like a STI. Because it is hard to get out of mud with 67hp and front wheels just spinning. But you could put some swamp tires and a lift kit. Let me know how it works out let us see some action shots of it stuck.

Good set of progressive rate springs and shocks, stiff sway bars and bushings, as well as carbon skid plates and dirt/winter tires, then strip the interior and replace the wheel bearings, tie rod ends and clutch plates every year. There isn't much your going to be able to do to get enough hp, you could get rid of any Air con and heat, get a smaller alternator with an underdrive pully and a smaller battery, and get rid of the catalytic converter and muffler. Weight reduction is your best bet but you would have to be very aggressive with it in order to compete.

ohh and don't forget a roll cage, even if you don't roll it stiffens the chassis a lot.
