Default Ran hit won't start

07 Camry 3.5 my car ran hot bc of previous owner malfunction. I fixed that problem. Now the engine spins but doesn't sound like it's trying to start. I have fuel and spark. Can anyone help?

Start by checking engine compression.

Blown head gasket, cracked or warped head, damaged valves.

Can also be other issues but start with compression.

Ok so no compression.. now a new question.. can I swap the 3.5 with a 2.4 without any modifications to motor mounts. I can not find a 3.5 online that I can afford but can find plenty of 2.4 4 cylinder motors

The V6 was an option thus the mount locations are the same. You will need a different trans, axles, wiring harness, computer, radiator, etc.
