1990 Camry 2.5v6 wont rev up fast but will slow
Hi new here. Not new to Toyota's.Love them. I am about to be given a 1990 Camry with 2.5 L. V6 with Automatic.187,000 miles. Just broke in LOL. No buddy around here has a clue why it will rev up slowly while twisting the throttle,But if you twist it quick it revs to about 2500 and bogs out(never revs up) When driving the car it wont rev up to go over 50 miles an hour. Any clues??? Prev Owner has replaced alot of parts, egr, throttle position censer, throttle thinggy on air cleaner.. I dont know, Would a fuel filter cause this, or pluged catilinic converter(SiC)

Typically a fuel starved engine can still rev OK in Neutral, just has no power when in gear and driving.
Have you tried holding the trans in a lower gear and checking the throttle response?
If the engine has an EGR system, might disconnect the vacuum hose powering the EGR valve to turn it off (plug the hose ends). It could be possible the EGR is opening too much, too soon and causing bogging.
A plugged CAT or muffler can result these problems. The exhaust sytem operation can be checked with a vacuum gauge hooked to the intake manifold. An internet search will turn up details. Or disconnect the exhaust pipe before the CAT.
How are the plugs and wires, etc.
Any leaks or restrictions in the intake air system, vacuum line leaks, etc?

Those are good suggestions. While idleing in PARK, throttle will slowly speed up(turning throttle shaft)but just bogs while turning fast. I dont have the car yet so who knows.... Need to probably change fuel filter, Check Fuel pressure. The mufler is bad and the car is noisy(exhaust) EGR could be messing up. I thought some one out here might have had the same problem and it would be an easy ...."Oh its the :::::,Just relpace and it should fix the problem" But I guess I'll have to start from "a"scratch. Once the car is in my yard I have a better look at it and try some messing with it.... Who knows when the thing had a tune-up. I'll pull some plugs and check it out. Thanks for all your advice and suggestions SO FAR, to be continued.....
