1991 Toyota Camry Code 43
Hi everyone i am a new Member and have a problem with my 1991 camry 2.0 L EFI Fuel Injected.
started it cold and left it idling, i was repairing my trailer wiring while it was connected to car i went into my garage and after about 5 min engine stopped sometimes it will start but runs rough throttling the accel can get it running smooth as silk but then it just winds down and stops again. I have checked Error codes and i Get a 43 (start signal circuit) I have checked all fuses and replaced Spark plugs and Air filter. I don't know where to go from here, Start signal circuit seems to be a very broad statement.

Trailer Wiring Burns
I've run into many people that have burned up circuits on the trailer connections.
Use an electrical diagram to trace your wires out, start by following the wires you were working on as far as you can, there could be a fusible link, or a ground wire removed during the repair or down the trace from the repair.
After you have thoroughly inspected those wires than you must trace out the wires from you ECU to the starting system. Be VERY CAREFUL with your ECU, always be grounding yourself to the frame while you are working with it. I recommend buying a 5 dollar Radio Shack anti static bracelet to keep you grounded, always a solid precaution and remove all metal from your body.
There are 3 wires located on the ECU Black/White, a Orange, and a Blue.
You want to inspect the wires for cuts or burns, or weak connections.
