Default 1993 Camry Speedometer Failed

Hello Camry Experts: Just signed-up today. My wife has a 1993 Camry LE, 4-cylinder with only 40K miles she bought new back in the day. The speedometer and tachometer barely register. All the gauges, odometer, fuses, and cruise control appear to work. Is this the result of a bad vehicle speed sensor? Pictures I've found show more than one sensor? Is this sensor that looks like it's right in front top of transmission difficult to replace?
Thanks in advance to all that can help me,
Miles

The sensor would be on top of the diff housing part of the trans where the axles plug in. You should be able to see it looking at the top of the housing.

Does it look like the item in the photo below:

Remove the one bolt holding the sensor housing onto the trans then slide it out. There is a drive gear that separates from the housing.

we are having trouble with the vehicle speed sensor on our 1999camery 4 cylinder 177,000 miles, I replaced it with a new part, but it stops working just about ten miles,The next morning the same thing, the speedometer works for a while and then it goes off. Does anybody have a fix for Us ? and the engine light stays on all the time

If check light on get codes read.

Red/Blue wire to sensor should have 12V when ign on. Blue and Pink wires run to instrument panel speedometer.

Check wiring connections. The circuit board of the speedo could have some kind of connection issue, cold solder joint, etc.
