Check the following:

-MA2 fuse in engine compartment fuse box.
-Ign spark at high voltage cable from the coil.
-12V at the positive power terminal of coil.
-Ign coil for cracks.

The AutoZone website at www.autozone.com has info to check the coil and distributor in the sites vehicle repair section.

If the distributor cap does not have a place for coil cable, the coil is built into the distributor. The coil is located on the same side of the distributor that the housing attach arm is.

If there is a space for the ign cable (5 cable plug-ins on the cap) the coil is located in front of the drivers side shock tower. The coil is positioned vertically, the ign cable plugs in vertically.
