The gear shifter in my Camry has popped up approx 20ml. Everything works as per normal however I can’t seem to pop it back in. Not sure what to do and about to be driving for a while, wondering if I should take it somewhere or if there’s a way I can fix it?

 

The complete shifter arm popped up out of the console or just the top handle portion?

 

The complete shifter arm has raised up about 20mm but still connected as it still goes to park, drive etc

 

Need to remove the trim around the lower shift arm and determine what the problem is.

 

Once that is removed there is a box that the gear shifter comes up out of but it’s connected to it.
