Default 1995 Camry left axle stuck

My Camry had clicking issues in the front end. I replaced both front CV axles, the right side was brand new, the left was a remanufactured unit. The left side clicks still, since the reman unit is bad. the problem i am having, is the axle i put in, i cant get back out to replace it. I have tried every pry bar i can find. The original popped right out. Now the replacement wont budge. It still has play in it where you can slide it in and out slightly, but I cant seem to jerk it out. Does anyone know any secrets? or ideas?

I assume left side is drivers side. C-clip split should have been facing down when installed, although I can't say that's your problem. On my 95 I eventually had to use a 3 foot pry bar from above through hood opening with a piece of metal used as fulcrum against the engine. Unit popped with a snap! Don't be afraid to use force. I'd advise using a new c-clip.

thanks Pedro. I finally got it. I had to use a 5 lb slide hammer, but it came off the first pop. Then went back together in less than 30 mins. Working fine. thanks again for the info. i am a new Camry owner, my first Toyota. I will be back here frequently.

I found that after struggling for two days to pry it out from underneath, removing the rubber air intake boot as well as the resonator and using a 36 inch pry bar from Sears makes the driver's side axle come out delightfully easy. I also used the big pry bar from above method with about a 1.5 inch thick wood block to seat the new axle.
