Default 1996 Camry Vibration

I have a 1996 camrywith 140,000km on the clock, in excellent conditionthat has suddenly developed a vibration that occursat acceleration and eases off once the disired speed is achieved.
I have hada dealer and also another mechanic look at it and neither can find what is causing the fault.
Has anyone had the same problem
What was the cause and how did you fix it.

mmm ... well i don't think that ur probles is due to tier balance coz if it is then the vibration will be between the speed of 80-120 KM ... check all ur joints under the car as there were some parts in my friends crecida called balencer on both sidesright & left , when i got them changed the vibration problem was solved ...
so get all the joints checked & u might fix the problem along with getting ur car re-freshed.

Sounds like you have a bad/unbalanced cv shaft, aka drive shaft, aka c.v. axle. Your symptoms are exactly what would be caused by that. Sometimes they'll cause a higher speed vibration only on deaccelleration but 90% of the time its on accelleration. The drive shaft is what sends power from the transmission to each front wheel. There is 2, 1 for each wheel.

First thing I'd do is have them looked at to see what they look like. To try and find a garrage that could dertimine which shaft (left or right) is causing the problem would be tough but you may just want to change them both anyway. Or if you've replaced one recently but not both. You may want to start with the oldest one. Good Luck.

honestly I've only ran into the problem 2 or 3 times as it isn't super common but if its vibrating at high speeds and only while accelerating or deaccelerating that's the only possible cause that I know of and I'm ASE certified as an under car specialist. I'm fairly young so I'm not saying I couldn't be wrong but if I had a grand to bet I wouldn't hesitate betting it on you having a bad c.v. shaft
