Yeah even our local mechanic was going to charge $500. He said the part is $300. All 3 of our auto parts stores carried it for $150-$200. Going to try & replace it this weekend!

Thanks for posting back. Great job in finding the problem and trying to save a few dollars.

Note the IAC valve is connected to the engines coolant system.

Please post back with the results.

Ok, so I will loose coolant & coolant has antifreeze right? I should hose the driveway after cuz I have dogs & it's poisonous to them. Should be doing the job today. I will know best if it worked after it's 1st cold start.

Yes, some antifreeze and hose off to keep from animals.

Car fired right up this morning! A little bumpy/shaky/vibration to the start, but no hesitation what so ever! I assume this may just be how the car is.

Idling normally & much more quite. Not rough at all.
