I have a 2001 camry...and recently I have been having problems with my car since last tuesday. The problem is that after I turn my car off, and wait for about 5 to 10 mins. my car would start beeping randomly and it locks and unlocks by itself like it has some sort of trauma. It is very annoying. I don't know what to do... Has anyone experienced this? Is there a solution to my problem? Please Reply back... I'd really appreciate it. Thank you in advance!

 

The only information I can give is that the computer that controls these devices (BCM) is located either under the drivers seat or under the passenger seat. I've heard of cases where after having the car detailed (carpets shampooed) water will get into the computer and cause these types of issues. It could be a faulty BCM (body control module) but it could also be faulty due to water or a spilled beverage or equivilant under whatever seat the computer is in. If this ends up being the case then removing it and letting it thoroughly dry out MAY fix it if your lucky.
