Default 2001 camry 4 cylinder oil leaking from manifold bolts

Leaking oil from the bolts connecting rear exhaust manifold to the engine. Oil just accumulates at the bolt head and drips down. Very small leak. The bolts are not loose. VC gasket is good. What could be the issue?

You mean exhaust manifold that faces radiator? The side of the engine facing the firewall has the intake manifold bolted to it.

It is possible the stud screws into an area where there is oil which could seep out through the threads. This would not be common.

Make sure the valve cover is not leaking as this is very common. Retorque the 4 large nuts that screw onto the spark plug tubes. Torque is 33 ft-lbs.

Look around the stud area for possible sources other then the valve cover. Perhaps post a photo.

You can buy dyes to put into the engine oil which glow under black light. There may be a trail of oil to the stud you are not now seeing.
