I have a 2007 Camry. V4 LE
175k mi.
It has been idling rough and sometimes looses it’s idling rpm’s. So I reset the idle no biggie. But I just can’t seem to make the car stop vibrating every time I put it in gear other than park.

I’ve changed all 4 engine mounts including the tranny one on the driver side and the dog bone one.

I have cleaned the throttle and I have replaced air filter as well as cleaned the Mass airflow sensor.

I have changed all 4 of the ignition coil connector as they were dry rotted. as well as all 4 spark plugs.

I did a tranny service. Thinking it might be the tranny acting up.

I’ve taken it to the major recalls
that I’m aware of.

Had the alternator replaced.
Battery replaced
flushed The coolant and put new coolant at 100k mi.
had a new radiator as the old one sprung leaks.
the idle is about 700rpms

What is the idle speed?

Have you cleaned the throttle body?

Any vacuum hose leaks?

EGR valve sticking open?

 

Hi.

The idle RPM is 600-700. When fully stopped at a light or in park.

yes I have cleaned the throttle body

when I set it to neutral is smooth as silk but when I put it in gear and the car is fully stopped. It vibrates a lot and shakes.

I have not checked the EGR. I had my neighbor a mechanic help me check it out. And he says the car doesn’t seem to have a vacuum leak but it’s not definitely off the table.

 

Does the engine have a PVC system, if so check it.

Check for intake air leaks.

 

Could you have a friend sit in the car and start and put it in gear (with the brake on) and you look under the hood?
Maybe you can see whats loose?
