2011 Camry LE Changing From Honk to Beep When Lock/unlock
Hello,
I have looked for this answer just about everywhere to no avail.
When I lock my wife's 2011 Camry, it honks once, unlocking honks twice. Very annoying in the early morning. My 2002 Camry beeps instead of honking. I've heard other same generation Camrys beep instead of honking when they lock/unlock theirs.
Question is, is there a way to stop the honking and make it beep instead? If not, I'd rather just disengage it all together. Would love to change the honk to the familiar, soft Toyota beep.
Thank you for any and all help.

The owners manual has something on what car features can customized such as the beeb system. This is stated to be a dealer process, although some aftermarket scanners that have diagnostic software for Toyota can do this.
There may be some procedure found by someone on the internet do to this. For the 2002 the following is said to work:
Put key in ign and remove it quickly.
Within 5 sec, re-insert key and turn ign to on.
Within 10 sec, press together "UNLOCK","LOCK" and "OPEN TRUNK" or PANIC twice within the 10 second interval.
Aftermarket alarms, door locks, ign start systems can create problems for owners, making diagnosis harder..
