I have a 2005 Camry. Several months ago the driver side electronic door lock quit working when I hit the remote, put the car in gear after starting the engine, and when I hit the auto lock in the car. The only way to lock the driver door was to manually hit the lock and it could only be unlocked w/ the key.

It suddenly started working again the other day. Any ideas?

 

Likely a worn doorlock solenoid. Repeatedly lock and unlock your doors with the switch and it will likely start to slow down to a halt. You'll need to replace it.
