Default 2018 Camry Shifting From "D" Into "P" ?

I have noticed on my new 2018 Toyota Camry SE, there is a loud, audible "clunking" sound when I shift the vehicle from Drive into Park. Nothing is "wrong", and it operates beautifully. But it sounds like something else is happening when I move the gear selector from "D" into "P". Almost as if the rear doors are locking, or something? Can anyone elaborate on this? Thanks in advance.
