Default 87 Camry ? about the location of the ISC VALVE?

Hello there,
Do you know where the Idle Speed Control Valve is located on my 87 Toyota Camry 5 speed 2.0? I ask this because I think it might be the cause of my idle problem that I did a recent post about on here? Please advise me as I can't find it thanks.

Typically the valve bolts to the underside of throttle body. Has a couple of small coolant hoses running to it. The link below has a photo.

Hello there,
Thanks for answering back and that info. I did a cleaning of the throttle body so does that clean this part isc as well? There is a small hole in the throttle body in which it goes down to the isc does that clean that part as well?
Is there a way to clean the isc or should I just get a new one Please advise me here thanks.

Yes, the small hole is the air intake for the IAC valve.

If you do clean the valve make sure the cleaner is safe for plastics, the valve is plastic.

Suggest you have the engine hot and running then spray into the hole a little at a time. The engine will want to die but keep it running by using the throttle pulley to keep the RPM up's.

To much spray and the engine will die and be hard to start until the fluid evaporates.

Some owners have removed the valve to clean it but this takes more time. Unless you find a used one the valves are not cheap. Thus suggest you try cleaning it first.

The Autozone website at www.autozone.com may show the procedure to test the valve. It has a small electric motor that can be tested by applying voltage.

Thanks very much for responding back to my ?'s. I did clean it already and do what you suggested. The engine won't run with the plenuem off I tried it and it dies so I cleaned it throughly with the engine off and everything apart.

The engine may have a MAF sensor preventing it from running with intake tube removed.
