I monitor it closely. When I got the car, the trans fluid was overfilled so I drained some toget the right level on the dipstick. I replaced the waterpipes on the car and have had this problem ever since. The trans fluid is cooled at the bottom of the radiator, so it might be the trans fluid. Is overfilling a big problem?

Make sure the trans cooler on the radiator is actually hooked up to the trans.

Check the throttle position and vehicle speed sensors plus wiring and that the trans PWR switch is not engaged.

1/4 to 3/8 inch overfill on the dip stick is 3-4 oz which will not cause problems.

Check the fluid when hot, engine running after shifting through all the gears and back into Park.

By waterpipes Iassume you mean the upper and lower rad hoses? Is it possible that water from the rad is getting into the fluid? Any signs of water contamination?
