here is my thing again....





92 toyota camry 5sfe TURBO

my wife have a 92 toyota camry 2.2 L4 5Speed with the ACT Presure Plate and Four Puff Clutch Disk
she kept asking me to turbo charge her Camry for her.
and this camry will be the first camry that i'm gonna put turbo on...
i'm more into Supra...
anyways... here is my question....
whats the best turbo engine or the best turbo kit that will direct-fit or bolt on to the camry... any idea???

i was looking at the 3sgte turbo kit... but i'm not sure that will direct bolt on to the 5sfe...
so any suggestion???

 

I too have been looking for a "plug and play" turbo charger or something of the like that I can install on my 5s-fe engine. I currently have a custom-made cold air intake (real cold air, not short-ram). That's the best I've got, but if you find something, let me know...

I know andysautosport.com says their turbochargers fit the 5s-fe, but I haven't seen pictures or anything.

 

there is one interesting thread i found in another forum, toyotanation. Its the instructions to do a 5sfte converstion.

I got a 95 Camry with the stock 5-sfe motor and i too wanna turbo charge it but i dont know if they make a bolt on turbo kit for it .....and if so exactly how much would it be for all the mods .....

Call me what you will but the Camry is by no means a sport sedan so why even bother to turbo charge or supercharge it? This car is made more for comfort and semi luxury who would think anyone would care to enhance the drive train. Make it a sleeper maybe? Against who?
