Default 96 5SFE starting & running

When I first start the motor it cuts off in a couple of minutes. Then it takes about 10 to 15 times trying to start it until it gets warm enough to stay running. Then it runs perfect and starts right up if it's still warm.

Check ETC sensor. This is the coolant temp sensor for the engine computer and NOT the one for temp gauge on the dash.

Clean IAC valve. This valve adjusts air flow around the throttle plate to set idle. The internet has post on how do this. Engine model is 5SFE.

Check ignition system.
