Default 96 camry front side marker lights

Hi,

I need to replace both front side marker lights. According to the owner's manual, after I remove the bolt near the side fender, I should be able to pull the assy straight out. When I tried to do this, I feel resistance like the light assy is connected to something that I can't see. Before I really yank hard on the assy, I want to know if it should be this difficult to remove and if there is any trick to removing the side light assy? Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I am having the same problem. Did you ever receive a response...or figure out how to remove the marker lamp?
Thanks,

I think there is a top screw that you need to loosen...to get to it, you have to remove the side "white" running lights that are next to the headlights to get to it...
