Default 98 Camry

Hello,

I have a 98 Camry that on the best way to describe it makes a hissing sound from the driver side back tire when I brake which just started sounding like that when I accidently backed in to much on a cement curb. Not sure if something is rubbing up against the axle but it only sounds like that when I brake and when I turn. My car has needed some maintenance and I just got it in for new stab links, bushings and they took some rust out of the brake drums but its still making that noise. Any ideas on what it could actually be? Thanks again!

Did you hit the curb hard enough to damage the suspension?

Is the wheel bearing loose or bad?

Try driving at say 30 mph and making having the car sway to the left and right. This will transfer the wheel loading from one side of the car to the other.

Determine if the noise comes and goes as the car sways.
