Default '98 LE-V6 idiot lights

Hey gurus:
Intermittently, two idiot lights come on (ABS solid + TRAC blinking); First time it happened, shop said "alternator at full load is OK...but battery shows weak". Replaced battery and problem disappeared for a month. They're back on again. Can you help please? Joe

Default RE: '98 LE-V6 idiot lights

The ABS and TRAC systems are interconnected, there may be just one problem effecting both systems. With these lights on the systems are off.

The ABS and TRAC have a built-in diagnosis system, when accessed any trouble codes stored will be displayed via a series of flashes from these lights. These codes can then be used to locate the specific trouble area.

You can output the codes yourself without any tools or have a mechanic do it.

There is a trouble code for low battery voltage but without knowing the specific code(s) stored can state this is the problem.
