Default '99 Camry - Lights Flickering Problem

Hello:

1999 Camry - 278,000 miles

The dash lights and outside lights have a subtle flicking problem. I took it to a local Auto Zone and they hooked up a tester to the battery. According to the tester, the alternator check good but indicated a "near end of battery life" result. I replaced the battery and the flickering went away. The next evening I noticed the flickering came back. Can this still be a faulty alternator that the tester miss diagnosed or the alternator is starting to go? When I had the testing done, its was daylight so I couldn't tell if the lights were flickering when the meter was hooked up to the car. At times, the lights are OK but then the flickering will start (the flickering has a become a little frequent over the past week or so). This gives me the impression that the faulty part is working somewhat but is starting give
to out. Is this an alternator problem or is it some else? Can someone please HELP!!

Thanks
Al
