Default Bad clutch master cylinder?

I installed a new clutch slave cylinder and I bled it and got a good solid pedal. When I drove it, the pedal still had a good feel but dropped to the floor and it was stuck and I had to pull the pedal up with my foot. I pushed the pedal in again and it was fine and after a few pumps it sank to the floor.

The fluid level in the clutch master cylinder is full and I tried bleeding it again and I got a great solid pedal but after a few pumps it dropped again to the floor. I looked by the clutch pedal and it is dry and in the engine bay I don't see any fluid by the master cylinder.

Is this symptoms of a bad clutch master cylinder? I don't know what else would cause this to happen?

you are describing the symptoms of a bypassing master cylinder

or internal cup failure

you have replaced the slave already and bled the air out

its a very simple hydraulic system

Do you need any guidance how to replace that master cylinder ?

When I get the new clutch master cylinder, does it need to be bench bled first?

No. Assemble then bleed at slave.

I got the new clutch master cylinder and how do I remove the line nut that goes to the clutch master cylinder? There is no room at all to get a line wrench on the nut. Does the brake booster need to come off?

it says remove brake booster assembly to fit new clutch master cyl

how crazy is that.

I was able to replace the clutch master cylinder without removing the booster. And it was a major pita but glad I didn't have to remove the booster.

Now I have another problem. While bleeding the slave cylinder, I notice brake fluid coming out underneath where the slave cylinder line and clutch master cylinder line connects to on the trans. Is there a seal in there? The fluid is not coming out the lines but underneath the connecting block where the lines connect to. What is broken?

In the pics there are the two lines, the slave & master cylinder. The brake fluid is leaking underneath it. Any ideas? Is my trans busted?

trans is not busted

you sure is not spilt brake fluid from the refill and repair

is it worth degreasing and washing down the area first

By the repair manual that part has a name CLUTCH ACCUMULATOR ASSY
nothing in the repair manual suggesting it has internal moving parts
