Bonnet lock/latch broken

Bonnet lock/latch broken
My bonnet won't open so I've pulled the grill off. I removed the bolts from the bracket but the hook holding the bonnet is part of the bracket.
Ideas?

Can you use long needle nose pliers to pull on the cable section between the latch and cable sleeve?
Have someone lift the hood while you pull.
Also try pushing then pulling on the hood while someone is releasing the latch inside the car.

A mate came over to help me. We had a look at a camry at the car wreckers and looked at the set up. With a bit of pull of tug and the use of screwdriver, we got the bonnet open.
The latch was stuffed so we went back to the wreckers and bought latch for $15 and put it back together. The bonnet opens now.
