brake light on...?????

Default brake light on...?????
97 camry .. brake light is on, other than fluid level low any ideas what to check, pads are good, recent change last year, less than 3k on them, they feel ok so.......?

Check the actual float switch for the brake fluid. Test by disconnecting harness plug.

Light also comes on when E-brake is engaged.

The light is not connected with the brake system such as indicating pad wear, etc.
