Cool camry 1993 2.2 differental fluid change

hi i have a camry 1993 model 2.2 automatic.I have just had the auto transmission oil drained new metal filter installed(there was a little bit of metal shavings in old metal screen)there was also slight bit of grey sludge on bottom of auto sump.Refilled with decron 2 fluid .new cork gasket .This sump has 14 or 15 bolts the question is the differntal fluid is it seperate or does it flow into the auto box. From what i can gather online there is 2 types of camry auto boxes (determined by number of bolts holding auto box pan )the one type you must drain diff seperate and refill seperate my mechanic said mine 14 or 15 bolt one runs into auto box does not need to be drained and refilled seperate ..help please

For US cars, Camry had a 4-cylinder and V6 engine trans. The V6 didn't have a a separate diff fluid chamber, the 4-cylinder did.

If there is a separate chamber there will be a fill plug on the back of diff housing. Look where the axles install into diff. The plug is on the back side of the housing that faces the drivers compartment. There would also be a drain plug under the housing where the axles into the diff.
